Regional Stay At Home Order Lifted
Placer County was notified this afternoon by the California Department of Public Health that, based upon the latest projections of ICU bed capacity 4 weeks into the future, the Greater Sacramento region is no longer under State’s regional “stay-at-home” order, effective immediately.
“We’re starting to see some stabilization both in ICUs as well as stabilization in our positivity rate. We’re also starting to see the rate of growth for hospitalizations beginning to decline,” Newsom said. “Today, effectively immediately, we’re pulling the Sacramento Region out of the stay-at-home order.”
Gov. Newsom’s Twitter Announcement
“Hospitalization growth rates have slowed. ICU & positivity rates are stabilizing.
Today, the Sacramento region is coming out of the Regional Stay-at-Home Order.
Hopeful signs—but we must approach them cautiously. Wear a mask. Be safe. Avoid gathering.”
